Snapchat has recently announced the introduction of new features aimed at enhancing user experiences and interactions on the platform. These features, ranging from AI-powered tools to interactive functions, are set to revolutionize the way users engage with Snapchat.
One of the notable additions is Editable Chats, which allows users to edit their messages even after sending them for up to five minutes. This feature bears similarity to WhatsApp’s message editing function and is currently exclusive to Snapchat+ paid subscribers. However, there is a possibility that it may be extended to all users in the future.
In addition to Editable Chats, Snapchat is introducing Emoji Reactions, enabling users to react to messages with any emoji of their choice. Previously, users could only react using Bitmoji, but now they have the freedom to express themselves more creatively.
To help users stay organized amidst their busy schedules, Snapchat is rolling out My AI Reminders. Users can now set reminders by sending a quick message to My AI, specifying the event, date, and time. Once sent, My AI will initiate an in-app countdown and notify users when the time is up.
Snapchat’s new features also include two AI-powered tools designed to enhance user experiences. The first is an AI-powered Bitmoji outfit generator, allowing users to describe their desired outfit and generate similar garment options with unique patterns, colors, and designs. The second feature, known as the ’90s AI Lens, incorporates creative effects inspired by the aesthetics of the 1990s.
In addition to these AI-powered features, Snapchat is enhancing Snap Map with the ability for users to react to others on the map using emojis. This feature adds a new layer of interaction to the platform, allowing users to engage with each other in real-time.
