Microsoft has unveiled the latest additions to Game Pass for the month of June 2024, featuring a mix of new and existing titles for subscribers to enjoy. Among the titles announced are Octopath Traveler, Octopath Traveler 2, Depersonalization, Isonzo, The Callisto Protocol, and Still Wakes The Deep.
The original Octopath Traveler, released in 2018, is making a return to Game Pass alongside its sequel. While the game was available on the platform in 2021 before leaving in March the following year, it has now made a comeback to coincide with its release on PS4 and PS5. The sequel, Octopath Traveler 2, is making its debut on the subscription service.
A review of Octopath Traveler 2 highlighted similarities to its predecessor, both in terms of gameplay and flaws. The captivating combat system and the stunning HD-2D world were praised, but criticisms were raised about reheated story elements and lack of significant innovation in the sequel.
Among the new arrivals, Still Wakes The Deep from The Chinese Room has caught the attention of many gamers. Known for titles like Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture and the upcoming Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, The Chinese Room has undergone significant changes as an indie studio, leading to curiosity about their latest creation.
With every new addition comes a set of departures from Game Pass. Titles like Bramble: The Mountain King, High On Life, Rune Factory 4 Special, Spacelines From The Far Out, and The Bookwalker are set to leave the platform on June 15th, making way for fresh content to take their place.
The lineup of games coming to Game Pass in June 2024 offers a mix of familiar favorites and new experiences for subscribers to explore. While some titles may resonate more with gamers than others, the continual cycle of additions and departures ensures that the platform remains dynamic and ever-evolving to cater to the diverse interests of its user base.
