The much-anticipated Singapore Airshow, Asia’s largest aviation event, has returned with a bang in 2023. With an order of 40 C919 passenger jets and 10 ARJ21 regional jets from Tibet Airlines, COMAC is making a bold statement in the aviation market. The C919, designed to rival Airbus and Boeing’s single-aisle jets, has garnered significant interest with over 1,000 orders. Despite its mainland China certification, the aircraft is setting its sights on international expansion, marking its debut outside Chinese territory at the airshow.
