WhatsApp is reportedly testing a new dedicated video note mode for its camera interface on both Android and iOS platforms. This feature, spotted by a feature tracker, would allow users to easily record and share video notes directly from the camera interface.
Enhanced User Experience
According to reports, this new video note mode is said to appear alongside the existing Video and Photo options in the camera interface. This would streamline the process of sharing video notes and make it more seamless for users.
The feature tracker, WABetaInfo, mentioned that the dedicated video note mode was spotted in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android and iOS. The specific app versions for Android and iOS are 2.24.14.14 and 24.13.10.76 respectively.
WhatsApp introduced Instant Video Notes back in 2023, allowing users to send 60-second video messages directly in chat. Recently, the platform started testing a shortcut button for quick replies to video notes, further enhancing the user experience.
In addition to the dedicated video note mode, WhatsApp is also rumored to be working on an AI feature called ‘Imagine Me’ that would generate images of users based on prompts. This feature, spotted in the WhatsApp beta for Android update 2.24.14.13, could revolutionize how users interact on the platform.
The introduction of a dedicated video note mode in the camera interface of WhatsApp could greatly improve the user experience and make sharing video notes more convenient. With the platform continuously testing new features and updates, users can expect a more enhanced and interactive messaging experience in the near future.
