Final Fantasy 16 and 14 Crossover Event: What to Expect

Final Fantasy 14 players are in for a treat as the highly anticipated crossover event with Final Fantasy 16 is set to begin tomorrow. This collaboration between the popular MMO and the latest single-player entry in the RPG series promises a range of exciting rewards and content for players to enjoy.

The announcement of the FFXVI/XIV crossover event was made by Naoki ‘Yoshi-P’ Yoshida, director of FF14 and producer of FF16, during last year’s Final Fantasy Fan Fest in London. The event will feature a level 50 quest that will offer gear inspired by FF16’s protagonist, Clive Rosfield, including his iconic armor and loyal wolfhound, Torgal, as a mount and minion respectively.

In addition to the Clive-inspired gear, players can also look forward to obtaining a Clive Triple Triad card and orchestration rolls based on FF16’s soundtrack, composed by FF14’s own Masayoshi Soken. The Path Infernal event draws inspiration from Clive’s connection to the fire deity Ifrit, offering players a unique and immersive experience.

For those eager to embark on this exciting quest, the starting point can be found in Ul’dah’s Steps of Nald. However, players must be at least level 50 and have completed the main scenario quest “The Ultimate Weapon” from the base game A Realm Reborn to participate in the crossover event.

With the event scheduled to run until May 8th, players have a limited time to dive into the world of Final Fantasy 16 within Final Fantasy 14. Whether you are a fan of both games or simply curious about the crossover, this event promises to deliver a unique and memorable experience that fans of the franchise won’t want to miss. So gear up, embark on the quest, and uncover the wonders that await in this epic crossover event.
